What is a Paykey?

Paykeys are Straddle's reimagining of payment tokenization, creating a secure link between a user's verified identity and their chosen payment method. Built on the foundation of Bridge's account connectivity, Paykeys offer an identity-linked payment solution that enhances security and simplifies payment processing.

Key features of Paykeys include:

  • Protection of sensitive banking data
  • Reusability for recurring payments
  • Automatic balance confirmation for every transaction

Paykeys leverage the account and owner information retrieved by Bridge, matching it to customer profiles to create a robust, secure token for payment operations. This approach streamlines payment processes while maintaining high security standards.

Third Party Tokens

In addition to using Straddle Bridge to connect to open banking, we also accept third party tokens from other sources like Plaid, MX, Flinks, and Mastercard (Finicity).
